I highly recommened the SSL-3 in the bridge of a Strat for Smoking Rock Solo Tones.

Can those Twangbangers really get a true Tele tone ???

They lend a Tele-type quality to the tone, but it isn't a full on Tele bridge tone. Certainly beefs up that thin Strat bridge tone tho...

Good point, if you want more Beef from the bridge pup, the SSL-3 is a good choice.

Cool Rails in the middle -> best seymour duncan strat size pup IMHO
Hot Rails in the middle -> great for all around distorted tone
Vintage Rails in the neck -> great highs with enough bottom

Gonna have to take umbrage with that. The SRV-1 vinatge rails sounds thin and nassaly under gain in the neck IMO. My favourite rails combo though, is SRV-1 in the middle position with an SHR-1n hot rails in the neck position.

and even though its not a single coil, i use a hot rails bridge in the neck wired to a series/parallel switch
