What guitar for a different tone for me?

My guitar is in my signature \/\/

What guitar would you recommend to sound different from the Les? Something with P90? Strat maybe? Jazzmaster?

Keep in mind that I already have a series/parallel for the neck pup and a series/split push pull pot for the bridge, as well as a phase switch.

I'm just trying to figure out what guitar I could get that could help me cover the most territory.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the tele, I know they tend to want to sound like LPs under high gain.

Get a nice hollow or semi hollow body (like my Epi Sheraton) and throw in either a Phat Cat set or a pair of TV Jones TV'trons. Either set should cover you for anything from country spank to bluesy growl and will be a LOT different sounding from your Lester but still be familiar in feel and play (if you go with an Epi or similar).

i was a les paul guy until i bought my strat. its a very nice tone, that quacky sound you get from 2,3, 4 positions, something a humbucker cannot duplicate, or at least duplicate accurately. And the lead tones are very smooth in the neck position, simply the industry standard solo guitar tone!

The one I'm saving for right now has this finish (it looks better in person, as it's a clear coated natural finish), but comes with the P90's.

You gotta hear this thing in person.....

Drool. :32:
