What headstock shape??

[I NEED HELP123]

I find it really hard to choose between headtsock shapes.

The guitar is going to have a complete makeover with new hardware, new black pickguard, new pickups and a floyd rose.

I want it to be a shred machine!!

this is the guitar i'm planning to put a new neck on:

I heard good things about the redfish parts banana neck, anyone used those? or should i just get a warmoth neck??

If you go with the Arcade, you best remove the "anti-trademark infringement" bit.

For a shred stick, you gotta have points. The sharkfin inlays are an extra bonus...

Banana looks awful... And I don't think Jakcson really fits the the guitar.

Stock Yamaha looks nice. Pre CBS Strat headstock would be even better. Tele might be nice too.

1. Are you absolutely sure the new neck will correctly fit the pocket and intonate well in that Pacifica?
2. What's wrong with the Yammy neck?

I absolutely HATE pointies (except on girls) and the banana is just godawful ugly (may be ok if it weren't so long). Sharkfins totally nix any possibility of a sale to me (the absolute ugliest inlays ever imagined). There are only four head shapes that would look good on that guitar (IMO)...
1. That Warmoth Warhead, above,
2. Pacifica
3. Strat
4. Tele
5. Custom

(OK, so I have a hard time counting past 3, don't make a big deal about it).

the frets are really worn, and I think i can better buy a new neck than getting the neck refretted. I had a huge discussion on another forum and I thought really long about it, but i really want a new neck.

The banana indeed looks awful from the picture. When I first saw that I thought the same, but you are just looking at it at the wrong angle. I will replace the picture.

Yeah, but a strat neck won't properly fit the Pac's neck pocket. You need to get a neck replacement for a Pacifica, not just "a new neck".

I had a huge discussion on another forum and I thought really long about it, but i really want a new neck.

You'll be better off economically getting another second-hand Pacifica than buying a replacement neck. Or go to a music store and make a trade for a new one. The 212VFM or VQM are pretty good bang for the buck, specially considering it hosts Alnico p'ups. Or just get a proper "shred stick".
