What hybrid is in your guitar??

I have found mine, out of a 59n and a Screamin' Demon.
One is in my Wolfgang and the other is mounted on the Kramer.
Both makes great bridge pickups.

I made one out of a Fender DH-1 and a Washburn 423, tried it with a ceramic and A5 mag. I kinda liked it with the ceramic, but not enough to keep it in that guitar. I did like the other pickup that it made (slug slug), it was pretty neat. I've got that in the bridge of my Oscar Schmidt OE-30

Is it really that easy to take coils from any two pickups and put them back together as a whole new pickup? Sounds like a very intriguing idea...

You'll love this--I tried this years ago: I combined the coils of a Schaller distortion pickup with the magnets and pole pieces of an SD Invader...Made THE most horrible, ill-defined sound you could imagine through an overdriven amp! And when I say no definition--Well, it would first compress, then surge, then sound as it it went through some sort of slight phase and them compress again. :laugh2: Strange that I never used it for anything....
