spent a few hours going back and forth between about 15 acoustics of all kinds and price ranges - settled on a bang-for-buck Alvarez and a really good deal, will trade some pedals and layaway the rest, a few bucks here and there. But there were 2 in particular that EXPLODED MY MIND APART.
One was a limited Martin D-20 for around $6000.
The other, which I would have bought on the spot if I had the dough, and that I liked even better than the D-20 was a CA model GXi. Sounds unreal. The most playable acoustic I've ever touched. Unbelievable. I didn't know it could be like this. A little over $2000. Here it is:

Body Length 20"
Body Depth 4 7/8"
Frets Medium Stainless

Overall Length 41"

Sound Hole Inlay None
Fret Board Inlay Silver Dots to 19th fret

• Carbon fiber neck for consistent playability (no truss rod adjustments needed, EVER!)
• Proprietary carbon fiber bridge and saddle materials
• Slender ergonomic design
• Premium electronics for easy and clear amplification

I probably have a year of GAS ahead of me until I can hustle the owning of this. Fudge.
