I don't remember, but I think my Antiquities still had the engraving on the bottom plate.

I know they were signed for sure.

Why do you say that please?

The baseplate looks wrong, the screws aren't self tapping, the label looks wrong, I've never seen the Custom Shop identify as SWD Custom Shop.

It is possible that things are changing and it is a new Custom Shop rewind, but I am doubtful.

Wait a while and Masta' C will have the definitive answer.

Also, the default Antiquity HB comes with 2 conductor, braided hookup wire. One can order them as 4 conductor pickups, but the default is vintage style, 2 conductor.

I don't know what actual brand it is, but I would try it and see what it sounds like. Measures in the realm of a custom Antiquity or Queenbucker or Skinnerburst type, though custom shop would have at least an MJ signature on the plate. The label 'looks' right, but I don't believe is authentic. Not sure. Has aged poles. Doesn't look like cheap parts. Wire it up and see if it's any good.

Aren't the pickups made for Gibson and other mfgrs SWD with no sig?

...

There are examples of SWD Custom Shop labels on the big online music stores. So I will scratch that. Maybe this is a CS Antiquity. I think the Antiquity also rules out the self tapping screws and baseplate.

I'm not aware of the Custom Shop making any series for brands. I'm aware they have done some special runs for signature guitars now and then, but those are pretty well-known and not something you'd see pop up on Reverb with a mystery label and no signature.

The OP's pickup is a custom wound Antiquity with light aging. It actually checks out in my book.

You generally won't see the self-tapping screws on Custom Shop pickups, but especially "vintage"-oriented models.

The reason for no other markings is that it is Custom Shop, not the standard production version. I've seen several examples of CS Antiquities that looked exactly like this.
