What Inspires Jeff Beck? [Video]

I always wondered where this classic Beck tune came from; really helps to hear the lyrics that were intended over that sweet, sweet melody. For anyone interested, the song is originally a Stevie Wonder tune, from the album, "Stevie Wonder presents Syreeta [Wright]." They had a short lived marriage, and this tune definitely reflects some of that.

EDIT: Maybe this should be in tips & clips, but I'm not sure I can do that. Mods?

One of the posts on Youtube said RIP. When did she die?

Thanks for the post, that's a fantastic track. I'd only heard the JB version til now.

Thank you so much for posting this, I've never heard it, and have always loved Jeff Beck's version. It makes JB's version make even more sense emotionally now. I always knew it was a Stevie tune from the credits on Blow By Blow, but I could never find Stevie's version, and this explains it.

Cheers.................................. wahwah

No problem. I read once that it was a Stevie Wonder track and could never find it on his more well-known albums and gave up for a while. Found this out this morning and thought I should post.

Wonder wrote a lot of the songs (if not all) on the album, and some Stevie die-hards say it's quite underrated compared to the rest of his discography.
