Didn't tried the Gold one but, I did intensive comparison with lots of cables, from the cheapest to the expensivest (Vovox, Evidence The Lyric II) and, clearly Vovox and Evidence are in the top of the pyramid.
Tested with long runs and 12 pedals in a pedalboard!.
But, Mogami 2524 bulk cable is just slightly (a pinch) less defined than those two and, its price drops down very dramatically.
So, I am building my own cables with Mogami 2524 and good Neutrik jacks.
My Evidence Audio Lyric II brook very soon. My Mogami are still working flawless.

Maybe you need to try the platinum ones then haha.

But yeah no issues for me tone wise, always reliable and sounds great. Good enough for me!
