You're right...59's are a great alternative to Burstbuckers or any buckers. Probably my favorite Duncan Humbuckers are the 59, Seth and Antiquity....then the Pearly Gates and Custom Custom.
I'm replacing the Tom Holmes humbuckers in my Les Paul with a set of Antiquities BTW. I want to see if I like the neck pickup a little better...looking for a little clearer tone.
Been going through my Antiquitys and picking out the strongest bridge and lowest DC Resistance for the neck.
Haven't found any Antiquity bridges that hit 9K yet....
