A Zebra pickup sounds better actually. It's made of african Zebra bone, that makes the pickup sound smoother. The combination of alnico Magnet with Zebra flat wax also increases the output. Each Zebra pickup is also Bewitched by an african vodoo master to make you sound like Hendrix.

On a serious note, I just got a TB-4 zebra and assuming it was not switched at the shop I got it, in the linked picture of the guitar in question, the bridge is Zebra (black over cream) and the neck is reverse zebra (cream over black). My setup is going to be a zebra JB at the bridge, a reverse zebra Jazz at the neck and an black SVR-1 in the middle. I would get a cream SVR-1 if they made one available.

For the looks I like the two zebra pickups to have the same orientation colour-wise. A zebra bridge with a reversed zebra neck or...the reverse.

i got black/neon pink pups! well the neon pink is a bobbin topper. heh..
reverse penguins? go to the zoo or north pole and turn them upside down? :6:

To answer the original question...there is no difference in sound...only in the color of the bobbins. Hope that helps.
