What is my pickup??

I am trying to determine why this pickup is different and if there is anything "special" about it. These pickups are from my 95-96 USA Hamer Studio Archtop guitar (serial# 543886). The guitar has Seth Lover pups. The neck position pup is stamped Seymour Duncan, but the bridge is not. It has a signature of "seymour" and a serial number. Can anyone help?

Re: What is my pickup??

the top one looks like a 59 neck model to me, the bottom looks like it could be a seth

Re: What is my pickup??

first one is a 59 neck model
the second one may be a old custom wound by seymour himselfwhich would be real cool if i am right
seths all have both seymours sig and seths sig so i dont think it is a seth lover model:beerchug:

The 59N has later on fitted cover. There are residues of the outer paper wrap glue. It was removed to solder the cover to the backplate.

Re: What is my pickup??

The early Seths may have been hand-signed by Seymour himself, but they quickly went ot a sticker with a printed "signature" on them. Antiquities might really be hand-signed signed but then the cover would be aged. So my guess is very early Seth (I seem to recall them coming out in 95).

Re: What is my pickup??

Other than this forum, does anyone know where I could find out a definate about this signature pickup? Possibly contacting SD themselves with the serial#?

Would a signed pup increase the value of this guitar, or is this a common thing?

Hamerfan....do you know of any sites that could give me original build information from the guitar's serial number? This could prove SAVAGE DISTORTION right about a custom wound pup.

I appreciate the help fellas, thanks!
