What is on your pedal board?

Re: What is on your pedal board?

You could start by getting a haircut, punk!

Well, I guess I've got three more options from the number 4 setting I currently use on the Wahl clippers. I've found that the shorter settings have an adverse effect on my tone, but if you insist.....

Re: What is on your pedal board?

I must admit, these descriptions have me at a bit of a loss. Can you elucidate?

Oh for crying out loud Keith, do we have to come right flat out and tell you everything? Would you be happy if I just spelled it all out and elucidated my guts out all over the page for your edification?

Ok then.

The George L's tend to be a bit trebley, at worst kinda thin sounding. The other cables mentioned sound kinda fat. Or phat, if you will. Cables produce their own EQ response curve, through a series of highly technical processes that I won't go into here, because I have absolutely no understanding of them whatsoever. For all I know, they may involve inefficiencies, but as is often the case, technical inefficiencies can often be quite 'musical.'

Sorry, I'm a bit confused here. What do you mean by "EQ"? ;)

"EQ" stands for "Elucidation Quotient." It measures the degree to which a person can make their point abundantly clear to another. Sadly, mine is terminally low.

Re: What is on your pedal board?

w00t for teh threads of old!!!

My current board is in a transition phase and I'm not quite sure what will be on it yet. This is what I have available to me, though.

Crybaby 535Q
Keeley DS-1 Ultra
Fulltone OCD v1
Boss TU2
Boss DD20
Line 6 MM4 (future uncertain)
Bogner Ecstasy Footswitch

LOL.... this is what it looks like now:

Crybaby 535Q
Boss TU-2
Ibanez FL9 flanger
Boss DD20 (in amp fx loop)
Bogner Ecstasy footswitch

I still have the Keeley ds-1 and the OCD because they're too good to get rid of but I'm not using them. The Bogner and the built-in boosts do just fine on their own.

Re: What is on your pedal board?

Wow Rid - I didn't realize you were into blatant blaxploitation as a pedal form. :D

Re: What is on your pedal board?

Haha...normally I actually never use that many either.
Comp, dirt, optional modulation, delay...end of game.
Sometime just nothing....
If I use more, I take my switcher into useage.

Re: What is on your pedal board?

On my "old school" rig, I have: Fender POS tuner -> BOSS Blues Driver -> Dunlop Hendrix Wah -> Mesa DC-3. I don't have a pedal "board" per se, I just throw them down on the floor/stage and cross my fingers. I also have the DC-3's switch there.

I am using this until I find a suitable solution to my PODxt amplification problem. Once that's accomplished, my "pedal board" will be the Line6 FBV Short Board.

Man ... that was SOOOO long ago!

Here's what I have now, and no, it's not the Line 6 FBV (my PODxt is now my practice/recording rig).

In front of the amp:
- Dunlop Hendrix Wah (soon to be replaced)
- BYOC Optical Compressor
- BYOC Octave Fuzz
- BOSS BD-2 Blues Driver (soon to be modded)
- BOSS GE-7 EQ (soon to receive Monte Allums mod to make it less noisy)
- Korg Pitch Black

In the effects loop (sorry Rid):
- Line 6 Echo Park
- Line 6 Verbzilla

Also on the board:
- Mesa Stiletto foot switch

Wish list:
- Phaser
- Flanger
