What is that thing in Greg Howe's guitar neck when tapping?

It is clear to me it helps avoid string noise while tapping, Daniele Gottardo has one too in his guitar. Does that thing have a name? How do you ask for one of those when you go to a music instrument shop? I want one of those!!!

I would venture to guess either a hair tie or maybe a velcro cable tie? Not sure just throwing that out there for you. Good luck.

It is called a damper or dampener. The Chapman Stick has one permanently engaged.

The Batten Damper looks like nice too. I guess I can try a tiny DYI project to make one like Greg's here at home with some peace elastic fabric or someting like that. And a glass slider with a beer glass bottle too but I need to find the perfect beer bottle too hahahaha.
