What Is The Easiet & Best Looking Way To Relic A Maple Neck?

Title pretty much says it all. I think I want to give the Panzercasters neck a heavy relic job. Hows about some pointers?

Re: What Is The Easiet & Best Looking Way To Relic A Maple Neck?

I had an unfinished neck one time that I wanted to have the worn out look on.

I just sanded/steel wooled the fretboard, then played the guitar everyday after dunking my fingers in mud and dirt. It sounds ridiculous, but it made the neck look naturally dirty, since all the major areas had it the worst.

I wouldn't relic the back, since you really don't want dings there.

really? I mean, that's what I loved most about the roadworn stuff, that feel on the back of the neck. it's like SO smooth.

Play the hell out of it. Not the quickest, but it's the easiest and best looking way.

What is an Imperial Stout?

Heh, I take it not european? :D

Imperial is sort of an optional title, but a stout is a type of very dark an heavy beer. Guiness would be an example, though that flavour is not very typical of a stout, as many stouts tend to have a very strong hint of licorice and saltynesss to them. They do, however, mst often retain the toned down bubbles or fizziness that comes with a guiness. It's defenitely an aquired taste, but try one if you ever get the chance, as it's quite a unique flavour.
