What is the JB of amps?

Pretty simple question- If the JB was an amp, what amp would it be? What amp has the range, frequency, power, dynamics and overall sound that would be equal to a JB pickup?

Re: What is the JB of amps?

I'm going to say that the Marshall 800. I don't like either of them, so that's why I say that.

Re: What is the JB of amps?

yeah...JCM 800. High gain, but not outrageously so, very particular midrange voicing, classic sound.

Re: What is the JB of amps?

I would have said the Peavey 5150/6505, but that amp sounds good. :D

Re: What is the JB of amps?

I like the 800! I would say the 900 Dual Reverb...:D

edit: Actually, I used the pair, a JB and a 900, great lead sound, but the rhythm was a double ice pick spike in the ear.

The thread title made me think JCM800, at first glance, but after thinking about it a little, the JVM comes to mind.

Re: What is the JB of amps?

Id go with 900. 800s roar. JBs dont and neither do 900s.

DSL would be another good candidate.

Re: What is the JB of amps?

First thing that popped into my head was the JCM 800, but everyone else already got that voiced so no need for me to elaborate more.
