What is the smoothest sounding neck humbucker Duncan makes?

Im wanting to know out of all the neck humbuckers, especially under a little gain. Smooth as in no crackling, buzzing, no sizzle to the trebles (like ceramics do) but round, like liquid.

I've found the Hot Rails to be extremely smooth under high gain. But I doubt that's what you're looking for. However, if you are ever in need of a single coil sized humbucker and want a smooth sound under high gain, there you go.

I don't know how it would sound but you could try a Custom Custom in the neck...

neck humbucker(not single coil), only under alittle overdrive (mainly being used for clean)

Definitely the Alnico 2 Pro, although it can be a little muddy if you use it in an overly dark-sounding guitar. In that case, the Pearly gates is a good choice.

APH is my first choice, with the PG as a close second for smoothness. Fof all around, the order is flipped.

I've always sided with the APH-1. Close second is the '59. Never tried a SL...

As far as smoothness goes, the Seth will top the PG, but the PG does handle more things better than either the SL or APH, just because it's more muscular in the mids. The split sounds on the PG (neck and bridge) are very good too, for a PAF style pickup.

At first I was hesitant to use a Seth Lover neck because it's not potted, and I thought my highest gain settings would squeal. Didn't happen. What did happen is that I loved it's singing sustaining quality. Nice and smooth with a nice vintage organic quality to it's sound. I like 59 necks, too, but the Seth has sustain that's unreal. It goes well with a CC.
