what is this "ceramic 8" on sale at addiction fx?

I know of the alnico 8 of course, but what would the difference be between that and a ceramic 8? Or a regular ceramic for that matter?

There's different grades of ceramics too. Most used for pickups are C8, Gibson uses ceramic5.

...in the past thay've USED Ceramic 5.

Nowadays, no stock Ceramic used in p'up making is other than C8, mostly because sonically are almost identical, but the C8 is more powerful.
