Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

I have done the toothpick in the neck holes thing for years it does improve the connection of neck and body for me.
As far as the paper clips I never tried it so i can answer to that?

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

I suppose it could eliminate some friction on the springs and the trem not returning to zero. Not sure though.

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

? You will also notice he has some added toggles on his Strat??

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

It's all BS. Only thing it will do is create some rattle/buzz...not sustain.

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

So? He shielded the spring cavity. That means that anything he does has merit?

And putting toothpicks in the neck screw holes essentially makes it a set neck?

Gimme a break.

Yeah, this guy's got it going on, problem is...where is he going?

Oh, I just got it. Haha! You're spoofing me. Sorry, I'm slow.

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

i dont know what to think. dude is in mexico, maybe that's why i havent seen toothpicks like that before?

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

the only thing that made any sense is the extra grab the screws have when using extra wood on the neck screw holes. extra sustain? "virtual set neck"???
I dunno bout that!:eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

Re: what is this dude doing to his trem springs?

to improve tone on that strat you'd think a better trem block or whole new trem would be a better route over a paper clip...

In my experience a higher quality bridge (or at least saddles) always make the guitar sound better.
