What is this Iommi pickup? is it new?

i noticed in the new Kevin Bond Rhoads has the "Iommi" pickup. i thought this was a gibson product. when did it switch to duncan?

Iommi endorsed Duncan got his Gibson endorsement.

That caused a problem because Gibson wanted him to endorse their PUs as well, and most companies aren´t too happy when you endorse the same thing from another manufacturer.

The result is today´s situation.

If Evan wants to give us the long form, I won´t stop him. It would be cool to see why things like this happen, because it´s not always a money grubbing decision, or even what the artist really wants ( and sometimes not even one the artist get´s to make at all.)....
