SD "Mortal Coil" 3-Voice Active Humbuckers....Say What?!

I see not many have replied to your question. You can absolutely bend on an Evertune. The bridge has 2 zones, one where it just holds the pitch and the other where it holds it kinda but allows you to bend. I HATE the Evertune because it sounds like shit. That's the benefit of Arium of Aristides: allows me to compare things very objectively. And, I HATE the Evertune.
I have heard ppl say it sounds bad. Is it like a floyd without a tone block? (I imagine its plinky and lacks sustain?)

I've heard it sounds bad too. The guy from Sylosis says he got a custom ESP with one equiped, and it's great for live use, but in the studio, it just doesn´t sound as good as his Floyds or Tune-O's.

yes. it's plinky and ploinky and it robs sustain, oompf, power. i HATE the thing.

For what it's worth, I LOVE the OFR. I have compared it against the hipshot fixed bridge and hipshot trem, and I love the tone of the OFR and honestly, I prefer it with a long skinny block, as long as it can, instead of the big brass block. We had a guitar in the factory with an OFR and was magic. Then, the trem was swapped for a solid titanium trem. YES. Solid titanium. And the tone sucked. Horribly. Everything was bad. I hated it.

Solid carbon steel is a time-proven material since right after the Bronze Age. Never underestimate its usefulness.

I see that it made it to standard production.

MortalCoil Pickup

I wonder if the voice 3, (single-coil mode), will give a similar jangle and chime as the notch positions of a Strat? I know that sound is strongly dependent on how they interact with each other, and the active outputs would isolate them.
