What is up with & where is all this supposed new 7-string and 8-string stuff???

I've been hovering around several forums, and have been hearing for months about a lot of new stuff and new options for the 7 and 8-string stuff. We've all been told that we were all supposed to start hearing and seeing things about this leading up to and including @ NAMM.

However, all we've heard and seen is that now we have the option of getting 7-string and 8-string pickups in either an open coil or an EMG-sized housing. But from what we've all been seeing and hearing is that there were a slew of new models in the works, and a slew of new options for them as well. But we haven't heard moot about anything regarding this.:thumbsdow What's the deal with that???

So now that NAMM has come and gone - and EMG seems to have dropped the ball as well by releasing all of the other finished "passive-sized" 7-string models besides the chrome in May or later - can we find out what all the big news about all these new 7-string and 8-string models and options are please???

The details will be flying fast and furiously shortly. It's a lot of cool stuff, more new stuff than I've ever seen Seymour Duncan release.

I can tell you that most of the stuff you've already heard about will be in stores in the next 1-2 months.

Okay. While I think the option of having the passives in an active housing, those aren't really what I was looking for and interested in... I was hoping to have news of all this new stuff already, mainly any of the new passive models and options (like colors...) and anything new for the active stuff.

Looks like either way, I'm stuck having to wait - which sucks because I have a brand new guitar apart, bare and unplayable as I was hoping for better news than this. Oh well, I'll wait then.
