I really want one of those blue higway one strats with a maple neck. Too bad i have otehr priorities.

One which has six strings on it and 3 single coils :32: - however as I own quite a few its difficult to choose as they all do specific jobs. But my get out of jail strat guitar is always the '57 (Jap Vintage) guitar that has Fralin vintage hot pups and also the blender pot (courtesy of Lew) - this will give you all the usual strat and quack sounds and much more and had has served me well on a number of occasions.

However my real favourite (loss) is my '62 strat which was sold some years ago and I am still trying to either find out who has got it or get something very similar.

I love mine, but I don't know if you can call it a Strat any more. It's got a Demon in the bridge and 500K pots, a long way from the Texas Special it used to be.

My Squier Bullet Special with a Duncan Invader, 1 vol knob, in (I think) Lake Placid Blue with a rosewood board & DiMarzio Clip-Lock strap.

That just sounds fun. you get +5 "scene" points. Someday I aspire to follow in your footsteps and turn a $100 beginner guitar into a $160 rock monster. just another idea for the future...

It's a Hot Rod Strat, and I bet that it sounds awesome. :smoker:

My modded strat with scallped fretboard, kinman woodstock pups, and basically full swap of all the pots and such in the guitar.

Hey Stratcat....For awhile there it was my 99 American Deluxe strat loaded with all Texas Hots...Lately it's been that blue aLder bodied Highway 1 strat that I built that has a Texas Hot in the bridge and the Surfers in the neck and middle and the Fralin Blender pot....Thanks to lew on that...I own several strats and I love em all really...

I Love The Deluxe Fat Strat, but i would get a H-S-H w./ coil tapping on a daphne blue '57 reissue with a 70's style headstock. And its so hard whether going with a maple or rosewood fingerboard.

My '89 American Standard is my favorite, it just feels like home

My Highway 1 has some serious mojo though, its the most alive sounding Strat I have ever owned. After it gets a set of Surfers, it may just become my favorite.

Mine is a 2002 American Series Olympic White, Rosewood fingerboard with these pups, Duncan Antiquity Texas Hot neck/SSL-1 middle/SSL-6 bridge.

I just picked up the SAME guitar!! 2002 rosewood fretboad, olypic white! Mine still has all stock pickups, but they sound good so far, i think i may switch to the Fender Vintage Noiseless....
