Pedals can be an addiction... if you let them. They're cheap enough.

It's too easy to plunk down not-that-much-cash on a shiny new pedal... only to have it collect dust a week later.

Then it's just a waste of $$$.

Buy what you need and what will serve an actual purpose; not just to get that "hey, I bought something new!" feeling.

What do you and pedals mean to each other?

Not much. I almost never run anything in practice but amp and guitar. My board has the amp channel switch then a wah and compressor going into the front of the amp and a Delay and Digital reverb in the loop plus on occasion will run a chorus or flanger. Most of the time it's just me guitar and amp though.
Have a good tube amp then who needs effects??
