What kind of paf type pickup should i get?

I was thinking of either an EVH or antiquity bridge and an antiquity neck for my les paul. Are these good paf copies? What differences would there be between them and my stock pickups (its an 81 gibson les paul custom)? Whats the difference between an antiquity bridge and an EVH pickup?

I've not used the Antiquity Humbuckers (yet) but everyone says these are one of the best,if not the best,PAF style pickups money can buy!

I have not tried the EVH (78) but I hear good things...it is alnico II, it is slightly overwound (mid to high 9k range) and I belive unless you order it differently, it comes non covered and wax potted. The Antiquitys are amazing, I have a set in my R8 and I couldn't be much happier...the Antiquity bridge is also Alnico II but not wound as hot (mine is a pretty hot example and it measures 8.75k). The Ant's are NOT potted and are covered giving the pickups a slightly hollow but microphonic midrange to the tone. The magnets are also degaussed a bit giving them a bit "weaker" tone that a full stringth magnet (like the EVH would have) but it is also very smooth and sweet souding.

Do you think some of the artists like EVH, clapton, angus young used magnets with full strength or degaused ones?
