What “lower grade” pickup have you had a good experience with?

Anecdotically, I've not named Wilkinson products because I don't spontaneously rank them about "lower grade" pickups...

They are not cheaper here when ordered from UK than Bill Lawrence PU's from USA and they are not necessarily similar to other transducers made in Korea, China etc.- a Wilkinson TriSonic is for instance slightly bigger physically than the "same" pickups in an Asian Burns, and exhibits different LRC specs, closer to real vintage Burns single coils...

I would like to mention Tonerider A4s (not that cheap). IronGear, Blues engine , Rolling Mills ,Dirty Torque and Slash copies. Also Duncan Designed ..both 101s and 102s.

I've heard the Tonerider pickups are good too. Anybody try one?

I use a set of surfaris, which have A3 magnets and Formvar wire. They are very balanced and sound incredibly chimey.

I like all the "Duncan Designed" I've heard. I also like the GFS Dream 90's and Dream 180's.
