what middle pickup

Hi guys i have a charvel mod 4 with a SD JB humbucker and a ssl-4 quater pounder at the neck.....any suggestions what may go well in the mid position...so much choice thanks

Do you ever use it alone or do you intend to use it in conjunction with the other 2?

Go for a rw/rp Quarter Pound. You can also get it tapped, so you get a lower output, cleaner sound if you want. It will be hum cancelling when used with the neck pickup.
