What neck pup to go with a Distortion in the bridge of a very heavy Epi Les Paul?

Hey guys, I'm looking for neck pickup suggestions that would go well with a Distortion in the bridge. It's a factory 2nd guitar that came without pickups and have cheap aftermarket replacements in it when I got it. Will be playing a lot of drop tuned stuff, either 11's or hybrid 10's most likely, and they need to come in zebra..guitar is black with a creme binding, knobs, and pickup rings.
Any suggestions that would be a good match for the Distortion?

Depends on what type of neck sound you want. The sky's really the limit here. Personally I'd go with a 59, but that may not be what you're looking for.
On the other hand, maybe a Distortion neck may be up your alley.

Jazz

A Distortion neck is a pretty good match for a Distortion bridge. But as you can see, there won't be much consensus on the answer. :)

I was considering either the Distortion neck, Jazz, or a Full Shred.. I like the distortion clarity of the Full Shred in comparison to the Jazz ( I think they're pretty close anyway ) but the Jazz cleans sound better.

I don't really know where the Distortion neck fits in against those two.

Either the Distortion neck or the Jazz neck.

Whatever you choose, if it's not bright enough, wire it in parallel.

"Those two" will definitely be brighter. The cool thing about the Distortion neck is, it sounds just like the Distortion bridge . . . just made for the neck position. The good folks at Duncan have done a great job of balancing the two. But then again, you may want a different sound for the neck.

I should probably add, that part of the reason I like this combo, in this guitar, is because I have them wired in "Slutbucker" mode in the middle position. Distortion coils play well together, be it neck of bridge coils. (This is in a Schecter Blackjack.)

Another thing about the Distortion neck is that it seems quite friendly to magnet swaps.
