What neck strat single to pair with Custom Shop JB 53

Hey Guys
I need advice on what strat single coil (or hum canceling version) would pair up well with Custom Shop JB 53 Esquire tele bridge
This is going on a swamp ash strat
Dont care if it is SD or DMZ or what but I would preffer a standard production pup so no Custom Shop advice please
What I am leaning towards is Antiquity Texas Hot single , YJM Neck or DMZ Area 60s or what not
Something that can sound full with high gain but still clean up well
This forum has helped me many times

The guitar in my avatar has two antiquity surfers paired with the 53 JB - although when I bought it, MJ called it the alnico 2 Hot for Tele Tapped. She said it was pickup Seymour used.

Are the surfers balanced well with the 53 ?

The 5/2 is also a nice pickup in the guitar!- I always thought it would be interesting to have (somehow) a full sized, low output humbucker version of a 5/2.

I'm sure the custom shop could do something, but my wallet couldn't do that something.

Sounds great to me...and I'm pretty fussy! :cool2: That's my #1 Strat. But I have Surfers in my other one too.

I also have some Fralin Vintage Hots I'm very fond of and use one as the neck pickup in my Tele along with a Duncan Custom Shop Jerry Donahue.

i use a antiquity II jag pup with my '53 and loved the balance. similar in tone to the surfers but with flat poles. ive also used the 5/2 and the balance is fine but the antiquity definitely sounds a little better to my ears

Surfer neck is probably what I'd want, or any other high end vintage spec strat neck.

An ash strat with a TS configuration. Sounds cool. Do you have any pics?

I had to order a tele bridge and a new neck as well
When complete I will make sure to post some photos be but warned..... I do not clean my guitars often : /
