How about Classical Blues? Singing classic blues numbers in an operatic vein, with the original music also done in a more Classical orchestral style. No bends, no slides, just straight-laced Classical.

Of course then someone has to do classic Opera as Country - Ride of the Valkyries with a 2-step meter.
