what normal size hbucker sounds like hot rails?

I really like the tone of the hot rails and have them in two guitars. I have a guitar (esp mII) that I'd like to put a similar sounding normal size humbucking pup in.

Any suggestions?

this is going out on a limb here, but i've heard of the cool rails being comparable to a JazzN.... maybe the hotrails is like a JB?? not really that sure though:dunno:

the invader has some similar characteristics to the hot rails but you arent going to get a full size bucker to sound like a single coil size bucker any more than a single coil size to sound like a full size.

the jb isnt all that similar.

ive never heard a dime and hot rails side by side

I have both the invader and the tele hot rails and I would say that they are pretty similar. I got the hot rails hoping it would sound similar to the invader. The invader sounds like it has a little more bass than the hot rails. I run both with 500K pots, the hot rails sounded a little too dark in my tele with 250K pots.

the invader is hearing more of the string so it picks up more bottom end

I had a Alt8 and a Hotrail at different time. I think i remember i did not like em on the same reason. Too middy and only few highs.

Well I think I misunderstood. I thought he wanted rail humbuckers but Normal sized. Immediately the Dimebucker jumped to mind.
