Don't remember that one. However, back in the 80's a buddy of mine built a RadioShack distortion pedal and ran it into a 100 watt Bassman head pushing a Fender 2x15 cab and it was killer. Just nasty dry ss clipping.

Try a Maxon. Pricey, but their version of the Tubescreamer is a go-to on my pedalboard. MXR's "badass" collection works well too.

I just recently got a Tube Screamer clone. Never used one for an extended time in my life. I set it to a very low gain and goosed the Classic channel on my DSL 100h. A bright light was shining and I could hear angels singing. Now I see what you guys have been blabbing about all these years. Thick sustain that lasts forever, fantastic finger touch and sensitivity. I am sold.

I have been playing around with the Decibel 11 Dirt Clod for a couple of weeks. It has two distinct gain stages, one similar to a Tube Driver or 808 chip, the other is a diode to ground deal like an MXR + or a DOD 250. It has an all analog signal path with digital switching, 10 presets and midi capabilities. I am reviewing it for my blog, the thing is amazing. When I get the review up I promise to post clips with it.
