What pedal do I use to get a clean guitar-into-amp sound?

Re: What pedal do I use to get a clean guitar-into-amp sound?

I want a 'Clean Gun', a handheld, battery-powered device that I can carry around with me. Any time i hear overly-distorted guitar, I can point the Clean Gun at the player's rig and pull the trigger, which will immediately remove all distortion from their sound.

I'll hang out at metal venues and watch as the bands suddenly have the sound of Bill Haley's Comets.
:rocket: I'd like one of those too.
Also, how about a 'talent pedal'. When activated, I immediately become a guitar hero!

Re: What pedal do I use to get a clean guitar-into-amp sound?

Please elaborate.

First, I run into a Monte Allums Compressor. That gives me a nice even sound, and makes hop for my ham handed playing style, or lack thereof...

The I go into a Zoom A2 acoustic pedal. This takes the fundamental quack-tone of my Ovation Piezo and Models it based on a Martin D-28.

Then I hit a Digitech Chorus factory. Supremely modifiable, I use the TC setting for a very slight chorus and touch of sweetness.

A DD-3 adds a little body and slap to the sound after that for some ambience,

I wrap up with an Aphex Acoustic Exciter to put the pop in the bass and the sparkle back on the highs.

Sounds great. I f I put it asll on and then turn it all off, you would be amazed. I add them one at a time from dry to full on and it just gets better.

Just the Comp/Zoom/Aphex really make a difference.

Is there a pedal that will get me the sound of no pedals?? :scratchch

Sorry; I think I've been reading TGP far too much. I need to stop ...:why:

I think a good quality cable, into the amp would work very nicely
