What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

My most commonly used FX chain would be:

Spina modded Vox 847 Wah
BOSS TU2 Pedal Tuner
Seymour Duncan SFX-01 Pickup Booster
BOSS SD1 Super Overdrive
Spina Modded Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer (if using a Les Paul)
G2D Custom Overdrive (if using a Strat)

I'm currently building a board for these FX to live on and I'm also building a small 4 space board to house my Ibanez DE7 Delay, BOSS CE5 Chorus Ensemble, BOSS GE7 EQ and my Phaser (when I settle on 1 I like)

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

EH Small Clone (modded: added Depth poti) ->
Johnson J-Station (PreAmp+FX, no SpeakerEmu)->
selfbuilt TubeAmp

I'm actually quite happy with the setup, though I'm thinking of replacing the J-Station with a selfbuilt TubePreamp which would involve an Ibanez Tubescreamer.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

Spina-modded Vox V847
Digitech Bad Monkey
Skreddy Pedals Zero
ZVEX Fuzz Factory (on the way)
Line 6 DL-4 (on the way)
Visual Sounds H2O
Lovepedal Magicboy Vibe

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

Umm.. I have 2 pedals, no need for a board..
Boss DS-1 (modded) and
Ibanez Powerlead. I seldom use them, but it's nice to have stuff.

-Boss Tuner
-Boss Octave
-Vox 847
-LoveTone Brown Source
-Pro Co Rat
-Spina DS-1
-EH/Sovtek Small Stone
-EH Electric Mistress
-Boss Tremolo
-Boss Delay

The truth is that this setup changes all the time...I have done my last 3 rehersals with only my tuner, wah, Spina DS-1, and octave box!

What is a LoveTone Brown Source?

LoveTone is an English pedfal company, they are still in business but are only making two pedals right now, one is a reissue of a discontinued custom shop pedal they used to make, the other is a reissue of a pedal that was discontinued pretty early and now brings lots of cash on Ebay. LT is more or less one guy named Vlad and he makes killer stuff but it wasn't cheep and you had to pay shipping from England, and it was special order only. The Brown Source is an overdrive, it has controls for gain, volume, tone and a 4 position selector switch that changes the tone corcut or on the 4th position removes it completely giving more gain. Mine is number 379 and I got it in 2001...I have heard that they stoped at around 500 units. It really is a killer overdrive...lots of people that have them describe them as being able to turn a BF/SF Fender amp into a Plexi Marshall...Check out the little sounds clips if you want, they are at

www.lovetone.com

I really like their stuff and wish I had gotten a Doppleganger before they stopped making them...and maybe a Big Cheese too, and a Wobulator!

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

1) DOD Compressor
2) DOD Mystic Blues Overdrive
3) DOD Envelope Filter
4) DOD Chorus
5) DOD Octaver
6) DOD Echo (the old FX7 model)

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

Boss TU-2
Digitech Red Whammy
Boss CS-3
Boss CH-1
Dunlop Mr. Crybaby Super
Korg AX1000G

other pedals not currenlty in use:
Boss DS-1
Digitech Turbo Flange
Ibanez TS9DX
Dunlop Limited Edition Crybaby

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

I feel like such a minimaliust, just a volume pedal and a Yamaha Magic-Stomp for me, anything beyond that is just overkill for me.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

1. Digitech Whammy (reissue)
2. Dunlop Crybaby Wah
3. Line 6 MM-4 Modulation Modeler
4. Boss DD-3 Digital Delay

I'll be adding a Fulltone Fulldrive II and some other kind of octave device in the near future.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

This is what I have in the 2 years I've been playing. I've got a Boss Blues Driver and DS-1(to be moded by Spina) on the way. Also I've sold the Boss CS-3 and replaced it with an MXR Dyna Comp. I've got quite alot of different pedals I still want to try.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

In the studio I use the pure amp and local rackmount studio processors.

For live:

- Rocktron Nitro
- Jim Dunlop JH1S Hendrix Special wah
- Boss NS2 /mute mode/
- Sabine S-1000something tuner
- Rocktron Tsunami
- sometimes when I feel that I miss something I just flap in a BOSS GE7 in the amp FX loop
- sometimes I use a Korg G1 + GE7 + Tsunami bypassed into the power amp input

Somewhere lurking around:

- Boss DS1 MIJ
- DOD505 A/B
- Ibanez TS10 Chorus
- Boss Turbo Overdrive MIJ
- Ibanez TS-808
- Boss ME5
- Korg A4

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

For me, pedals become a management issue on stage and can get me sidetracked or cause problems. I have a Boss TU-2 and a Tonebone Switchbone that I currently only use for a clean boost when needed (that is when I don't have time to use the guitar volume). I also think that it's hard to get a better sound with any pedal than I get from my rig (Marshall plexi re-issue).

what kind of Arion is that? Do they make quality pedals?

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

It's the Arion Stereo Chorus. Well I can't really compare it to anything cause it's the only chorus I've ever used more than just playing one in a store. I don't use chorus very much and for $20 I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. For what I need it suits me fine. It's better than the chorus on the RP50. For how much I've played them, I did like the Boss chorus better but again for how much I use it it's not worth upgrading to the Boss. But the Arion gives it a run for it's money. I've heard that the previous Arion chorus that came out before this one was better than the one I have, but that's just hear say. I don't think this could compete with a Boss pedal in the long run seeing as the outside is made of plastic, but I'm pretty gentle when I step on my pedals and it's been fine for the six months or so I've had it. If it's just something to mess around with then your not out much if you don't like it, but if chorus is a big part of your sound then their are probably better pedals out there. But heck, it's only $20 for one.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

The essentials, of course!!

A volume pedal, chorus, overdrive, graphic EQ, chromatic tuner, and a wah. All BOSS, Dunlop, and Ernie Ball.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

I rarely use pedals live but I own a few that I like.

Boss BF-2 Flanger MIJ (tweaked by Stratdeluxer97)
Boss DD-3 Digital Delay MIJ
EH Small Stone Phase Shifter MIR
EH DR.Q Envelope FIlter USA (great notched Wah sounds)
Rocktron HUSH Pedal (cause I love P-90's)
Arion SCH-1 Stereo Chorus MIJ
Morley A/B Pedal (for pushing 2 rigs when needed)

While I would love to have a bunch more cool pedals it would just be a waste of money. Though I do like the tremolo and Rotary Reverb in my little Vox.

Re: What Pedals are in your pedalboard?

The only pedals I use currently are a CryBaby and a DD-3.

Thinking about getting a phaser for those Rock 'n Roll Animal moments.
