What pickup have I got?

Wonder if someone can help me with this very newbie question :yell: - I bought a guitar about a year ago and it had 3 Seymour Duncan pickups on it. I had no idea about pickups or in fact anything about electric guitars at that time, but now I'm wondering what model my pickups are...

Anyone know a way to find out the model number?

There is usually a sticker on the bottom of the pickups that will tell you what they are.

It can mean that you need to remove the pickups. With HBs you can usually just remove the mounting rings to look benieth them and thats easy to do. With Strats you can pull the guard and take a look, you dont need to remove each pickup. Neither of these things should alter your set-up and can be done in a couple of minutes during string changes.

Quite a few of the SD pups are distinctive in their styling. Before you start taking anything apart, you may want to just take a clear photo, and post it here in the forum.

Edit: As soon as I posted that, I realized how dumb that is. :smack:

Obviously, you can just go to the SD product page, and see if they match anything there. The ones that have unique styling, of course.
