Hi to All!
I've a Ibanez Joe Satriani JS100
I play mostly Classic Heavy metal and some Thrash..
I'd like to change the bridge humbucker with something that have a good powerful Metal sound but that it's also versatile to others genres (Eg. Classic Rock)
I made rythmic and solos..
What pick-up it's best??

Thanks!!!!!

i think a set of pearly gates would sound good in that axe, i know it can do classic rock and im sure it can do metal with the right amp.
either that or a Custom/'59 combo for heavier playing.

Hey DMJ. I have a MIJ JS-Hardtail that used to have a JB and APH in it until recently when I put a pair of Phat Cats into it.

I don't know if that's the right combo for Heavy Metal and Thrash, but it would work great for Classic Rock.

Trust Evan. ;) Depending on how heavy you plan to get, I would say that if you plan to play solo's in the neck, than you should try out a FS. Not overpowering, and great for soloing and leads if you ever do them, now for the bridge for classic rock, I wouldnt know. Get something mainly for rythym since that what you do most.

Welcome to the Forums man! Bridge pup for a powerful metal sound, but able to do classic huh? I say Custom, C5, or Distortion, one of these should do the trick for you.
