What pickups for a 335?

For all you 335 owners, what pickups work best for you? I was thinking a set of PG or 59's might be a nice addition. What ever set I choose, I was thinking about having them Dunn-Aged to mellow them out a little. Or I could try some Fralins or Holmes. I want a vintage PAF tone. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I had Seths in my Sheraton and I loved them . If you want Dun-Aging, look at the Antiquities. I've never had the Ant 'buckers, but everybody says they are superb.

I like the Unbucker idea myself. Pricey, but it would likely empahsize the airiness of the semi-hollow body and that's what I'd be aiming for. TV'trons (or GFS Retrotrons, on a budget...) would be another possible choice for that goal, though in a different way.

EDIT: Sorry, I totally missed the part where you siad you wanted a PAF sound. Disregard my suggestions.

Howdy,

I'm not a humbucker kind of guy, but I like my replacement 59's in my ES-335 much better than the stock "Dirty Fingers". God, they were like..like..Heavy Metal distortion p/u's. No thanks!
My '59 equipped ES-335 sounds much more like it should. Plenty of body and with enough clarity and sustain to cover just about any style. I like 59's.
