What pickups for Jackson JS30DKT??

Hi folks,
Just laid my hands on a Jackson JS30dkt, for a cheaper guitar it feels really solid and seems to sit really well with me - only thing is I want to swap out the stock passives for a decent SD set! My playing style leans mostly to classic/hard rock but I like a nice clean edge for picking melodies - Any ideas for a decent combo which gives a nice balance for both?

Seems to be a maple neck, rosewood fretboard, alder body, fixed bridge. Lots of choices that work with that. Some more detail about what kind of sound you are looking for would help.

JB & Jazz might work quite well, maybe swap the JB's magnet from A5 to A2 if you find it too bright. JB might be a bit hot depending on what you mean by classic/hard rock, but Jeff Beck did manage to do blues/rock on a similar guitar with those pickups in the '70s...

If you want a warmer, less strident but still hot bridge and don't want to mess with magnet swaps, you could try a Custom Custom.

A '59 bridge & neck pair would probably work, too. Or a Pearly Gates set.

If the guitar could use some beefing up in the lower mids, you might look at the Parallel Axis series. Or magnet swapping something from the Custom series into a Custom 8.

More info about tastes and rig will garner more specific recommendations...
