What Pickups?!?!?!?!?!

So I decided to get a Warmoth custom Jazzmaster body with a HSH setup. But, I need to get good pickups for it before I place my order. It will have a Mahogany body with a Maple neck(rosewood fretboard). I'll go with the Invader for the bridge(MUD!!!! but I want to nail the Metallica KEA tone ) but I just can't decide what to get for the neck and the middle positions. I looked at the many neck pups(jazz, 59, seth, invader) but I can't find one that stands out as a great from clean to Megadeth pickup. For the middle pickup, however, I want it to be very versatile pickup, but I thought that wouldn't the lil 59 or JBJR will get too muddy. I just can't decide. Please send help.

Jazz for the neck. You will not be using the neck pickup of a mahogany Jazzmaster for the rhythms to Holy Wars, Peace Sells, or Killing Is My Business. Maybe for A Tout Le Monde or Foreclosure of a Dream.

Unless you're playing through a 1980 Peavey Rage or a Radio Shack crystal set and a paper cup speaker.


For the middle pickup, despite the want for versatility, what you're going to need is balance between the neck and bridge, and the versatility will come from the pedals you use.
What you specifically intend to use this pickup for will determine which model you want. "Versatile" is vague, as the Cool Rails will mix very differently with the Jazz and the Invader than the Lil59 or Hot Rails or Vintage Rails or LilDemon.
