mine are in a 79 LP Custom
Stock Pots, Orange Drop Caps .223 50's wiring because I also have Triple Shot Pup Rings installed and was trying to obtain a start type sound.
Very happy with my tone. in Humbucker mode, I get usable tone with tone pot all the way open or all the way closed, on the neck pickup.
The aged Les Paul might help too!
