What power supplies you guys using on your boards?

Re: What power supplies you guys using on your boards?

Your right...,I just looked at it again online. Looks like the outputs are isolated but share a ground. Go figure.
Right now it’s working as I wanted so I won’t mess with it but when needed I’ll upgrade to a true isolated unit.

Yeah. I think the outlets are individually regulated with some filtering. If one goes down, the others keep working. I think that's how they get away with claiming "isolated". It's misleading (intentionally) but probably not a lie since they dont specifically claim that the grounds are isolated.

I use Boss PSA X 2 with daisy chain and a solo 18v supply, silent and never let me down.

VooDoo Lab iso-5. Wall warts for 2 other pedals that require, 1 9VAC and 2. 9V positive center pin. Lord bless me spaghetti mess !

I have a Walrus Audio Aetos, which I feel is criminally overlooked because it is so useful and well thought-out.

It has 8 isolated power outputs, with 2 being high output (300 mA). A *big* plus is its complimentary 120V AC power outlet, for those pedals that don't run on 9V but instead would otherwise have to plug into the wall or a power strip.

For example, when I had a Duncan PowerStage 170, I powered it from the Aetos, which helped with cable clutter.

Re: What power supplies you guys using on your boards?

Cioks are very interesting supplies, very good quality on reasonable price. I would have bought on instant, but they have annoyingly limited set of features: Most models have only couple of outputs allowing for higher that 9v. Also most of outputs are limited to 150 or 200ma.

Not a single reasonably price model had what I needed, and what would have we're way too big and expensive.

If you can escape making options...one does....guitarplayers are mad ;)
The smart thing would be making a small variable regulator for your dc-connector ;)
Then you all can go from 0-12v :D

Bit too much for a simple 9-12v switching...

What about power supply with 8-10 9v-12v outlets from which 3-4 go all the way to 18v or 24v. Plus 1 AC outlet.

Shouldn't be hard to make and would perfectly fit between large and small supplies. Which dominate the market.

I have a Voodoo Lab Mondo. In the photos it looks like the largest human-made object in history, but it is actually quite reasonably sized.
