Does anyone know (for sure) what is the Gibson pu model that would have come standard with this 'special' limited ed LP Jr ?

Is it wishful thinking to hope for a 57 Classic ?

Any info welcome !

Interesting question….

SHort of a BB Pro, could it be bad, especially since there is only one. Worst case IMO would be a 498 - and on it's own that'd be fine. Not my choice - but perfectly ok.

Re: What pu is in this LP Jr ?

GC was selling those for $599 on clearance for the past year.

From what I've gathered, the 2010/2011 LP Jr. Humbucker Model came with three options that were interchangeable.....baked maple or rosewood, 50's or 60's neck, and Burstbucker or 498T. You just have to know which set of specs the guitar has before buying, because it's all over the place.

It may have depended if it was a GC edition or regular edition. I think the GC edition had rosewood 50's w/Burstbucker.

If it's a Burstbucker model, I'd leave the stock pickup in there. I like those pickups.

Personally, I would only be happy with a HB-sized P90, P-Rails or, possibly, some variant of TV Jones Filter'Tron clone.
