I love my JB but I'd love to try other duncans as well.

I generally play punk so..

I want a pup a bit different from the JB but still work for punk

What kinds of sounds i want:
Lots of mids
great highs
great palm mutes
sound a bit cool- not very warm- i want it to have that COOL edge to my sound

Custom if you like high output buckers, PGb if you don't need a ton of output or have a hot amp.

I've got a Custom with a 59 in my LP and I just get the sound you describe. Custom is really a great pickup.

I tried a Custom recently and think it would work.........if you want warmer, go C-5.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Stick with the JB and just tweak the amp a little.....

Sounds to me that you just described a JB. If it aint broke, dont fix it.
