I have 1 gig of ram but 512 will usually do unless you are running a lot of plug-ins. I'll probably add another 1 gig of ram before too long and I can get 1 gig of ram for the G5 for about $160

Zion, I don't know how cost effective it really is, especially for folks on a budget. The Digi 002 rack with the factory bundle (reason adapted, and a couple of other bundles), The dual G5 with 1 gig of ram and the waves platinium bundle will set you back about $6k.

But it sure sounds pretty and it's plenty fast.......

I do not have a fast computer so I thought I would go with a recorder that I could record to zip or cd. Down the road I will get a different computer and then I can start useing it then.
