That's a really cool idea. Initially I thought $60 would be a fair price, but after some suggestions by you guys I felt like higher is better. Curiosity got the better of me and I googled it.

Check out Ryc Roc Chainmaille, I think their prices seem fair and they even have colour choices! Does that seem like a good starting point?

For a well-made chainmail strap I'd expect to pay $75-$100

I think you should redo the ends, those holes looks massive. Just make a narrow slit that's big enough to work the button into so that it's somewhat stable without strap locks. Aside from the size of the strap holes I think you did a great job!

I cut the ends myself so that there was some semblance of finishedness. before I try selling them I will put real ends on.

Nice looking strap that could find a way into the metal-scene, as said before, you 'll need real ends on them, but as you stated, that won't be a problem.

Don't want to be a party-killer or nothing, but although I find it a nice looking strap, I would NEVER EVER BUY one, nor would I recommend it to anyone, the reason why is because the chain mail material would damage you guitar's laquer way to easaly.
So for me it's a no-no, for that reason.

You could sell on etsy. I've seen all sorts of stuff on there; not just the Martha Stewart craft crap.

And damage the heck out of your laquer and guitar if your not careful, haha :)

I seem to be the only one worried about the chainmail doing damage to my guitar, haha, must be the overly worried type, or just the clumsy one haha :naughty:

As said it looks neat, certain music-styles will love it, but I can't keep on thinking: oh my, what a nightmare for my guitar. ;-)

Well, this place has chain mail straps for $30-35...

So, it seems that charging for it $50-100 seems rather expensive as first of all, these straps do not seem to be very popular among guitar players and second of all, the strap is not adjustable.

The price of $30-35 seems more reasonable; hell, think I would only dish out $20 for a strap like that, but going back to the original price of $30-35, well, it might have something to do with it being a business, but not a very big one though.

Very cool man. But probably the reason people can find them in places pretty cheap, is because they're made in china by kids who work for a dollar per day.

Hey you could adjust it by inserting 2 long nails between any two rows of circles, and then tieing them together with rope or elastic band (effectively shortening the strap). Ghetto method - i know.
