What style of playing is this?

I think this guy's playing is awesome but I was wondering what style is it? It definitely isn't the typical SRV style blues. It sounds kinda like jazz but definitely isn't jazz either. And does anyone know what scale he is playing in? Thanks

Then it's jazz blues, or blues jazz, depending on which you think is more dominant.

My man hit it on the nose! It's a Blues/Jazz guitar style aka Jitterbug in the vein of Barney! My software has samples of this same style that it renders and it's named after kessel.

That's Kid Ramos---heir apparent to the Hollywood Fats West Coast blues king, playing with Lynwood Slim. He can play a lot of different styles from swing to straight up rock and is a really nice guy to boot. Used to play with James Harmon and the Fab T-Birds...
