Does anyone know anything about this?Can it really work well for $15? I mean I'd love to find an attenuator for that cheap,but really?

From what I've gathered, these things can be made with $5 worth of parts from Radio Shack. They won't really work like an attenuator, it will only work like a master volume control.

If you run a search on those things here, you'll see some other threads that go more in depth, but they're pretty much "junk".
