What to do...what to do?

I´m sure there must be other pitchblack users on here running on power supplies rather than 9V batteries. I´m looking for advice.

It´s time for me to look at picking up a power supply and the current requirement for the pitchblack is 600mA according to the manual.

At some stage I´ll also need at least one 18V source as I will be getting hold of a BYOC Flanger.
Apart from that the pedals I´d need to use seem to be straightforward power wise.
They´re a carbon copy, a crybaby and a raptor.

Up ´til now the T-Rex Chameleon was top of my list but it wouldn´t have any outputs able to generate 600mA - which seems very high in any case.
I don´t intend using the pitchblack to power any other pedals.

Any comments on the Chameleon or other recommendations?
Any others using power supplies with the Pitchblack (mine is a pitchblack + btw although I think they both need 600mA according to the manuals)?

Re: What to do...what to do?

the 600mA figure as published in the user manual is a precautionary measure intended for if you are using the Pitchblack's DC output to daisy chain your other effects.

The actual current draw is SIGNIFICANTLY less than that.

For the regular pitchblack it's a max of 35mA, and for the Pitchblack + it's 50mA.

If you're not using the PB's DC out to power other pedals, then you should be find with the T-rex. FWIW, I use a Godlyke PowerAll for my pedalboard, and I use the Godlyke daisychained power supply. 9v going into the Pitchblack, not using the PB's DC out at all. I've never had a problem with it.
