Her Little Mojo Minion
OK, OK, I know I've said this a million times, but it's really getting down to the wire. I need to either sell my 4-12" (Carvin Vai Legacy, the first edition) or take out 2 speakers for a 2-12" cab and sell the other two speakers and scrap the cabinet (for easy shipping), or maybe sell the empty cab locally to a kid building a 4-12".
The problem is, the cab looks like H-E double hockey sticks, and it's wired for 4 ohms instead of the standard 8 or 16 (so I could get the most power from my Line 6 head when I was in a band: 300 watts). I'm afraid with the way it looks and the weird wiring, I won't be able to get much more than $300 to $350 for it, and I'll need to buy a 2-12" anyways. Hence, the idea of scrapping it out. I don't have a ton of time or patience to rewire it or recover it (and although I like to tinker with electronics, I'd probably screw up the wiring job believe it or not).
My questions are:
1. What would price would you set for a visually bad Legacy cab?
2. What do you think about the idea of salvaging two speakers and selling the other 2?
