what to do...

Ok guys...I need a new guitar. I hate to say that I am actually looking to get a new guitar simply because I have 2 pickups to put in it, but that's the case! :smack:

It has to be 2 buckers, and I was thinking about an LP or something similar but the more I think about it I think I want something different...I am kicking around the idea of a double fat strat, but to me Strats should have 3 singles...right now I'm kicking around the idea of either a BC Rich Bich or an Ibanez Iceman...feel free to comment and/or make suggestions...let's see what you guys come up with!

Re: what to do...

lol that's what i did. i had two pickups sitting around soooo i got a neck from odie a body and a bunch of hardware and a pickguard from warmoth and i'm building another strat lol. why sell the pickups when they give you a reason to buy or build a new guitar!! i say go double fast strat for sure, it's the only way man!! 3 singles are overated lol (j/k) but you are missing out on some cool tones from a dobule fat! start searching ebay for some parts call up warmoth for a custom guard and build yourself a cool strat clone!

Are you CRAZY? :dammit:

Er.... me too. :smack:

What pickups are you looking to house? I want a guitar I can put a Custom / A2Pn in. I was thinking Epi Flying V, but I'm open to suggestions. :naughty:

Re: what to do...

for the Custom/A2Pro I think an Epi V would be killer!

I have really been thinking hard about the BC Rich, but theodie has got me thinking about an Iceman too...and now Mike is talking double fat strat...strats do kick ass...but then again, the Bich or the Iceman would be pretty damn cool!

you can never have too many fenders!
+1, by the way, you're my hero for buying a guitar because you have extra pickups haha.

My vote is for an iceman or building a Tele-gib. Dual humbucker Tele's are nice beasts.

I have kicked the idea of a Tele-Gib around, and I will have a tele gib one day, but this is gonna be something different...

Then my vote is definately for the iceman! Which model are you looking for? Higher-end, or a beater? I'll keep an eye out for you

Re: what to do...

G.A.S is a serious problem with todays youth.

Re: what to do...

Christian, man, go with the bich!
Go grab the new classic series one they just came out with for like 5 or 6 hundred. I saw and played on at guitar center, it was the all natural, curly maple, neck thru! one. The neck was kinda different, I remember it as wide. The setup was trerrible and it was detuned really bad.

Re: what to do...

THATS THE ONE! I have been really thinking hard about that one! I have heard some horror stories about the fi and finish...maybe I could just go play a dozen or more and get the best one!
