What to keep, what to let go? Real dilemma

Ok, I know this should seem like a very easy choice, but I'm having a real problem.. Im sorry if this seems stupid, but I need help. (Yeah, a shrink too..)

I am selling gear. Ive listed a few pieces and have to decide on more. The ones Ive listed obviously are the ones least loved. However, I cant decide what next.

I have a few guitars that Im trying to choose between and they are all great and have something that makes them standout over the others, but no clear winner.

The choices are:

LTD1000CTM. Love the big frets, comfy neck, has a very big unplugged sound and plays and sounds as an LP should.. Special loved features are comfy neck, big sound, quality components. Tonepros, locking keys etc and low price
Why Id sell: dont care for the emgs, and this would be the easiest to replace if I ever wanted another.

Dean Soltero. This one is a Limited run for Dean forum members for 2009. mine is number5 of 24. Its piano black, has thier US pickups.. Nostalgia in the neck and Mountain of Tone bridge (for Leslie West) Its a great playing and sounding Les Paul type.
Special features are: Limited edition, sound like a LP but has a thin fast neck. Gorgeous
Why Id sell: Not thrilled with the pickups in it, not quite as well made and as the gibson or Burny

Gibson Les paul 2008 model. (not year, but model) This one is gorgeous chicago blue, has locking keys and tonepros and Neutric jack and is light.
Special features are: gorgeous color, Locking keys, tonepros and such..
Things that make me want to sell are: the guitar just doesnt feel as good as my Trad pro, it would get more money than the rest.

1980's Burny Les Paul. This one weighs a ton, so is solid and sustains for days, ebony board and plays great. hardware is all updated and pickups. Great Les Paul regardless of brand
Speacial features: Easy action, sustains for days,
Why Id sell: Very heavy. Having trouble dialing in pickups on it and would get a decent price.

So, here is my delimma. pls share thoughts, opinions.. I love em all and would be thrilled to keep them all. The LTD is the BEST bang for the buck. The Burny is the best made.

Thanks

Turn the question on its head. Your home is on fire. Which one or two guitars would you rescue from the flames?

In its present configuration, the Dean's greatest asset is its scarcity. Keep the instrument original. Sell it to a Dean collector.

In my experience, ESP/LTD active guitars improve when the EMGs are replaced with Duncans. I like Live Wire Classic IIs. You might prefer Blackouts, Mustaines or some other permutation.

The Burny problem is that many punters cannot see past the brand name. It may not raise as much money as you would like.

People love Gibsons. Yours will always be saleable.

Knowing you like I do, combined with what you keep and why you're selling, I'd try to sell the Gibson first, then the Burny. The Gibson is easy, you liked the Trad pro from day one and from the looks of it, still do. I don't ever remember you being that impressed with the 2008. It was more trouble that it was worth.

The Burny you always seemed to love and I am pretty sure it's the one you'll miss the most but its' weight was the deciding factor. Unless you can be happy playing it only sitting down.

The Dean I can tell you didn't jive with much, you could try to find a Dean junky over at their forums and try to flip it there, maybe save the Burny for the time being.

The LTD would get you the least money and as you know, not all guitars are made equal, just because you like this one's neck it don't mean you'd like the next one's.

Re: What to keep, what to let go? Real dilemma

Sell them all and put the money toward one guitar you would love to have.

Re: What to keep, what to let go? Real dilemma

List all of them and sell whatever someone is willing to buy.

John, Ive kinda thought about that and doing it somewhat. I had things divided into tiers. Tier one was the first to go. Tier 2 is next level and Tier 4 is keeper stuff. Tier 1 stuff is not moving, so Ive thrown a few other things out there, just to get some cashflow.
At a few points, Ive thought about just listing everything and see whats left and let fate decide what I keep.. Everything I have is better than Im worthy of.
